NOBLESVILLE, Ind. — After earning a share of last year’s Hoosier Crossroads Conference crown, the Brownsburg Bulldogs appear to be more than ready for another run at the title.

The Bulldogs (2-0) overpowered a very young Noblesville team 35-7 in the Millers’ home opener.

Brownsburg senior Chase Dutra was a headache for the Noblesville defense throughout the night.  The Indiana University-bound back led a balanced offensive attack for the Bulldogs with 55 yards rushing, including a 1-yard touchdown run, 56 yards receiving and a 44-yard punt return for another score.

Noblesville quarterback T.C. McKiernan’s  first pass of the night was intercepted, and that seemed to set the tone for the Millers.   They rushed for only 43 yards and were unable to put together a serious scoring threat until late in the fourth quarter, well after the game had  been decided.

Noblesville coach Lance Sheib was left searching for answers following the game.  “It’s frustrating,” he said. ” We’re just so young and trying to figure things out right now.   We have a great group of of kids though, I love this team.  Right now we’ll just keep moving forward.”
