Dragash looks to rebound after rough week on FNLP football picks

Well, my ego got a little over-inflated last week after a 4-1 effort in week 6.  Last week, a 2-3 showing put humble pie on my dessert plate. I did correctly pick the Carmel-Warren Central game, which was separate from the Friday Night Lights Prognostications list of games, so unofficially, I was 3-3.  Officially, I am now 12-8 this football season, and I’m looking to peak heading into the post season in a couple of weeks.  So here’s my attempt at a comeback this week:

Danville at Lebanon

Both teams come into this game with 5-2 records, and Danville is riding a 4-game winning streak coming into this one with the lowest margin of victory being 15 last week vs. North Montgomery.  Lebanon has struggled against better competition.

Danville 28, Lebanon 17

Cathedral at Tech

Cathedral has played an absolutely brutal schedule this year; Tech is 5-1, but all of their wins have come against teams with a combined record of 7-27.  They also gave Guerin their only win of the year.  The Irish are revving up for another postseason run.

Cathedral 31, Tech 14

Scecina at Ritter

Ritter turned a lot of heads when they beat Chatard by 23 in week five.  With the exception of a one point win over Heritage Christian in week one, they have not been challenged this season, and they have their sights set on a major run into the postseason.  Raiders rule this matchup.

Ritter 38, Scecina 20

Zionsville at Brownsburg

The Bulldogs have been on a season-long roll; Zionsville has put together one of their better seasons in recent years.  This one could come down to the last possession; I’ll go with the home team.

Brownsburg 28, Zionsville 24

Carmel at Terre Haute North

This game makes the list due to the fact that the Greyhounds were taken to overtime by Warren Central last week and beat a Warriors squad that missed three field goals in regulation.  The Patriots defeated Warren Central the previous week.  Carmel will be glad that Tim Kimbrough from Warren Central will NOT be on the field this week.
