My 10 favorite stadium shots

Hello, again!

Several years ago during my run as an AP Sports Writer, I started a tradition of taking photos of the sports venues I attended. After a while, I got quite a collection. Each time I look at these photos, memories come back. Some are because the photo is nice, some because the event was big and others because I just had a good time when I went. I took all these photos. Some are from games I covered, others are from events I attended as a fan. A few of them are from before I started consciously keeping track. There are two stadiums I wish I had shots of – Memorial Stadium in Lincoln and Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha. Nonetheless, here are my 10 favorite Stadium Shots ranging from 2001-2012. Remember to click on the next one below each photo.

This shot was taken in June 2011. I took my son to his first major league baseball game. Little known to us, the Cardinals would win the World Series that year. I like this one because of the Gateway Arch in the background.
